The Ring-Scale Threefin (Enneapterygius annulatus) fish from the family of Threefins (Tripterygiidae) is a small fish seen regularly at certain sites such as Clifton Gardens in Sydney. They can be difficult to spot as they are so small and well camouflaged. Up close they are very pretty with their vibrant red bodies and black faces.
