Black Cheek Threefin
(Enneapterygius Rufopileus)
(Enneapterygius Rufopileus)
The Black Cheek Threefin (Enneapterygius Rufopileus) is a small fish (5cm long) in the family of Threefins (Tripterygiidae). It is quite hard to find, but can be spotted in Sydney. I have so far only seen this little fish at Shelly Beach (Manly) and it was so shy that after one photo it disappeared never to be seen again. I continually try to look out for it as I find it a very beautiful fish, so if you know of it and any tips to spot it again please let me know!
