The family Callionymidae (Dragonets) are a large family of around 130 species ranging from small (3cm) to medium (30cm) size. In Sydney, the main species seen is the beautiful Painted Stinkfish (Eocallionymus papilio).
It is rare to see these fish and I have only seen them twice, and only at the end of a dive when my camera batteries had run flat!
