The Nembrotha Purpureolineata, is easily one of my favourite sea slugs that can be spotted in Sydney. Over two consecutive years this species was in Kurnell on the same rock a year apart. Coincidence or a significant spot? Not sure, but either way this is one of the most beautiful species of nudibranch (sea slug). It has a black and white striped body, blue/purple edges and multi-coloured rhinophores with purple red and yellow colouring. It is from the family Nembrothinae, and often called the Nembrotha aurea too.
