The Dendrodoris denisoni is more common in the tropical waters of the Indo-Pacific and has other names including Dendrodoris gemmacea. It is similar to the Doridopsis gunnamatta species. This is a colourful nudibranch with extruding spots which is common of nudibranchs from the family Dendrodorididae. This species is not commonly sighted in Sydney.
